Brian P. Burk
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I love documenting the beauty of the world and its people through still and moving images.
I have degrees in American Studies and Multimedia Journalism.
My particular interests include portraiture, history, heavy industry and transportation, commercial aviation in particular.
I'm a licensed FAA Part 107 drone pilot, and I'm also a pilot of full-sized airplanes as well. I have a certificate in Geospatial Unmanned Aerial Systems. I am also working on a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). See examples of my GIS work here.
Three of my photos were named "editor's picks" in the Aviation Week and Space Technology 2020 photo contest.
